so the credit card bill came in and its at £420, and the overdraft is currently around £1400. oh dear!!<br /><br />so iv been home, i think im pretty much adjusted to being back home. although to be honest i find glasgow rather scary at the moment, just the general public walking around intimidate me, iv turned into a victorian nancy boy.<br /><br />on the job hunt, well ok iv applied for one job, but that worked in victoria, everythin i tried for in victoria i got, i had a 100% success ratio in canada hoping to bring that back.<br /><br />i went through two telephone interviews for this job already and have a face to face next wednesday, or the 23rd i think thats wednesday. its for direct banking for the royal bank of scotland. so its working on the phones but its not a call centre in effect as its only existing customers i deal with i aint cold calling! so that £11500 a year or whatever it is i start on plus bonuses which could take it up to £15000 should help me get out of debt.<br /><br />wanting to move out of home but its a shite lot harder to do here than over in canadia which is very very frustrating. i mean its nice being at home and stuff but i dont really want my mum and my sister naggin at me all the time.<br /><br />i feel a cold coming on, that would mean its time to drink loads of fruit juice. i claim since i dont eat fruit or vegetables really, except when im feeling ill, they kinda still have medicinal purposes for my body. vitamin C and all that goodness.<br /><br />ok i must run, <br />im gettin a new car today,<br />ok my mum bought a new car but im on the insurance so its kinda mine but i dont like driving here unless its late at night as theres too much traffic and traffic lights in glasgow its irritating.<br /><br />i shall update more travelling stories sometime soon perhaps!!<br /><br />peace out kids!! urn:lj:livejournal.com:atom1:gregorfleming:30104 2006-07-28T18:39:04Z 2006-07-28T18:39:04Z just chillin out at the moment watchin a league of their own on tv. what a film!!!<br />fun times again in boston. jones is away at work so i dont do much durin the day which is ideal as im skinto!!<br /><br />went out for dinner for his bday last nite, fun times, except i was a bit intoxicated as i started drinking&smoking about 5ish. had a tasty burger but i forgot what id ordered on it when it arrived, was a pleasant surprise to have a chilli burger for a change instead of a bacon cheeseburger.<br /><br />from boston last time we headed up to montreal. get there check in a hostel and buy a beer, sitting chillin in the hostel end up gettin an american, a kiwi and a canadian to come out to the bars with us. was fun times. then we kinda lost them so it was just the 3 of us. one moment of madness on alans part left jones missing half a front tooth. some minor disagreement about if a bird at the next table was fit or not, resulted in alan throwing one of those plastic menus at jones and it caught him square on his front tooth and he lost half of it. i had to cover my mouth as i kinda wanted to laugh but also was kinda shocked at the same time it was horrible. alan went a funny shade of white with guilt and didnt say much for about 20 minutes. he bought a couple of guilt rounds, jager bombs and sutff.<br />then we hit up the strippers, which isnt really my thing to be honest. i dont like feeling sexually frustrated so why would i want to pay money for the sensation. so iv never had a private lap dance in my puff.<br />so alan gets one which results in him gettin a bit of a sex pest tag, haha i wont comment.<br /><br />another couple of nights out in montreal fun times. its a cracking city, i enjoyed it, i was gonna go back for a couple of days bt decided against it.<br /><br />then me and alan headed to ottawa, got to stay with mels(my old roomies) family. it was tip top. cracking family made us some delicious dinners. out for dinner me and alan tried to pay for stuff to say thanks but they never let us. toured ottawa a bit, in the parliament buildings was a nice tour. wanna know how u know when ur gettin old? its when u enjoy tours round parliament buildings.<br /><br />we were gonna leave ottawa after a few days but ended up stayin a whole week, with a weekend of it down at mels wee sisters boyfriends cottage. sweet deal!! i love corn on the cob these days!! its my new fav thing to munch!!! steaks and all sorts!!!<br />one night we go out in st caths just to check out the scene, end up gettin wrecked, gettin some random guy to buy us beer, i was like hey big man buy us a beer pretty much after sayin hello. were standin at the bar so he orders us beer and himself a g&t hes like ehhh when she comes back to get the money tell her il be right back and he legged it to the cash machine so he could buy us booze. muppet!!<br />then we just get chattin to the barmaids, beth and emmmmmm ada, not sure how to spell her name, so we are just talkin bollocks and then everytime folks come to the bar to buy shots they just pour us one too!! free jagermeister!! wasnt too great, but free, a nice piece of freeloading!!! so me and aldo end up wrecked and we leave to get a taxi, theres one across the road and we are about to get in the car when ada is shouting at us across the road, i go over to inquire and she is like her take these and hands me 2 bottles of water. who does that?? who chases pissheads out of their bar with water so they feel better in the morning?? was nice of her for sure, she gives me a hug and a kiss on the cheek and im on my way!! <br />the water was a treat in the morning i tell you, what a champion barkeep.<br /><br />went back to the same bar for canada day in the kilts, and somehow we just lucked out and got in 2 minutes before the queue started and the cover charge kicked in, bloody sweet result. beth was working the top bar so naebdy had to wait long to get served.she would come right over to us. hunners of shite banter flying about with the kilts. a lot of cats seemed to think we were faking it! <br />16hrs on a greyhound, st catharines to boston via buffalo and new york!!<br />we are like eh?? new york city?? whats the deal, had we known we would have got routed through there we would have planned ahead and had a night out for sure.<br /><br />got into boston, tryin to work out where jones lives, i check my emails to discover the dick isnt actually here, he is still up in vermont as he passed out on the 4th running a 5k run, and had to get an IV and business like that!!<br />so me and alan literally walk miles around boston lookin for somewhere cheap to stay!! but for a period i didnt have direct internet access and what i mean as direct is fast and free, i had some free access but it wasnt fast so i dont have the patience to do much other than the essentials when such is the case.<br /><br />so lets see i pretty much summed up winnipeg in a paragraph, i actually grew a little fond of it by the time i left!! for the final part of the train journey! which was actually the worst. it was the longest leg, and there was naebdy up for being social on it. so i pretty much said next to nothing for a day and a half! was balls!<br /><br />got off the train found out the hostel was about 15mins walk and was like sweet i can walk taht with my rucksack and bag...after a day and a half on the train i was happy to walk! just gettin to the hostel and i spy alan across the road, at least i think it was alan, and he wasnt sure if he saw me!! but yeah anyways it was skywalker, checked in hostel, went out for a 'quiet' one, few beers, which turned into a good session, talkin to irish and french lassies in the hostel and involved me wakin up fully clothed in the morning! quick shower after drunken/hungover heckling the cleaners! and we were out for the day! hooters to watch the football, racked up a hunner banger bar bill! this was when we realised that perhaps our savings would dwindle fast!! good night out, sang some karaoke, had 3 people in the one tshirt in a bar, alan got a new hat, alan spews on the floor via his hand and takes himself home!! i come home alans on my bed in the hostel except i wasnt sure it was him, took some photos as it was dark i figured they would help me, nope no dice, so slept in his bed!! but i still did enjoy myself!!<br />i had a bit of a weird week last week, and i almost cried on a number of evenings!!the weirdest one being when i almost started crying wathcin linkin park videos on much music!!who does that??<br /><br />the parents were over last week, so was good to see them, even though near the end of the week it became rather apparant that we were starting to get on each others nerves!well mainly just my mum and dad really, gettin on each others nerves. which isnt fun to witness at anytime of the year let alone on my bday weekend.<br /><br />had the shittest of sleeps the past 2 nites, perhaps an hour or 3 tops, so phoned in sick to work today as it hurt when i blinked which is never a good sign. so slept in till about 12.30 and feel pretty good for it, and its been a lovely day!! its ace! friendly banter with staff, was talkin to the bartender, he was at ross county and caley thistle for a while!!i think hes the first canadian to have heard of the mighty rovers!! so it was banter central!! then talked the bar hound beside me for a bit, he was a nice guy!!<br /><br />so there i am, at a bar about to enter a poker tournie myself!and i couldnt care less, i loved my own company last nite, and enjoyed the others at my table too!!<br />i played pretty well, won the first hand, knocked the guy out beside me!and i knocked him out, he went all in as was short stacked, i had pocket 2's i was feeling them, but cos of my seat position i was scunnered so i raised all in to scare other folk away, 2 other callers!! cards are turned, they all have like a-j, a-k, a-10 im like mon the deuces!! they hit fuck all, i hit a flush!!none of them had a diamond, i won with a diamond flush two high!!i think i peed myself with laughter a bit at this, and everyone else thought it was pretty funny too!
